Ecstatic Dancer

Dance is the spirit expressed through movement. It’s enjoyed by so many cultures across the world and used as a creative outlet and platform to express. Even if you can’t speak someone’s language you can still dance and connect with each other - like it’s a form of communication without speaking. Our ancestors would listen to the sound of each other’s footsteps to identify their tribe, so it’s no wonder we have evolved to enjoy this experience collectively; as a group of friends at a festival, in the kitchen with your lover or by yourself in the shower (try it !!) I’ve been dancing lately which inspired me to paint this African dancer. If you ever feel stagnant, just dance. flow with the music and belong in the moment, your body will express what your mind cannot.
